From the early stages of his career, Shubhankar’s musical prowess was evident. He started by composing music for regional Marathi films and short films, leaving an indelible impression on the audiences. Notable among these projects are “Slam Book,” a Marathi drama film produced by Ruturaj D Film Productions and directed by Ruturaj Dhalgade, and “Lost & Found,” a Marathi film that starred talented actors like Spruha JoshiSiddharth ChandekarMohan Agashe, and Mangesh Desai.

Shubhankar’s passion for experimenting with different genres and languages led him to work on various projects outside of Marathi cinema. He lent his musical brilliance to the Tamil song “Kanave Vaarayo,” sung by the talented Hrishikesh Ranade and recorded at the renowned Floating Point Studio by Nimish Joshi. In the Telugu industry, he composed for the film “Sadha Nannu Nadipe,” directed by Lanka Pratheek Prem Karan, and showcased his talent on the Tamil song “Naan Sollava,” sung by Savani Ravindra and himself. He has released a Hindi single titled “Sajanwa”, which was sung by Priyanka Barve.

His collaboration on short films like “Within” and “An Invitation”, both directed by Ruturaj Dhalgade, demonstrate his ability to evoke emotions and enhance storytelling through his music. Additionally, his work on “The Guilty Misfits” and “Svah”, each directed by talented filmmakers, proves his flexibility in adapting to different cinematic styles.
